하나님이 큰 구원으로 당신들의 생명을 보존하고 당신들의 후손을 세상에 두시려고 나를 당신들보다 먼저 보내셨나니

요셉은 형들이 자신을 노예로 팔아버린 사건이나, 노예로 살던 생활 그리고 억울한 감옥살이까지, 단순한 고난이 아니라 애굽 총리로서 기근을 대비하고 하나님의 백성을 살리기 위한 준비 과정이었다고 고백합니다.

'먼저 보내셨다'는 표현에서 하나님의 인큐베이팅 과정이었음을 보여줍니다. 요셉은 보디발의 집과 감옥이라는 세상 시스템 안에서 행정, 경제, 리더십을 배웠고, 고난을 통해 겸손과 하나님 의존을 연단받았습니다. 하나님은 준비된 리더를 세우시기 위해 우리를 세상 한복판에 두시고 훈련하십니다. 그 연단의 시간이 후에 하나님 나라를 섬기는 귀한 자산이 됩니다.

현재 겪는 어려움이 있다면, 하나님이 나를 인큐베이팅하고 계심을 묵상해 봐야 합니다. 직장에서의 부당한 대우, 관계의 상처, 경제적 어려움도 준비된 리더로 빚어지는 과정일 수 있습니다. 그러므로 불평 대신 "하나님이 무엇을 가르치시는가"를 질문하고, 매일의 작은 책임에 성실함으로 응답하며, 고난 중에도 하나님을 신뢰하는 믿음의 근육을 키워야 합니다.

주님, 지금의 어려움이 저를 준비시키는 인큐베이팅 과정임을 믿습니다. 세상 시스템 안에서도 하나님의 사람으로 연단받게 하시고, 작은 일에 성실함으로 준비된 리더가 되게 하소서. 인간의 악한 의도마저 선으로 바꾸시는 하나님의 섭리를 신뢰하며, 하나님이 쓰시는 귀한 그릇이 되게 하소서. 아멘

연휴기간 잘 정비된 행주산성에 올랐다. 1600여년 전엔 전쟁 한가운데 치열함만 있었던 곳이지만 승리를 기리는 곳이 되었다.

​"But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance."

​Joseph confesses that the events of being sold into slavery by his brothers, his life as a slave, and even his unjust imprisonment were not mere hardships. Instead, they were a preparatory process to survive the famine and save God's people as the Prime Minister of Egypt.

​The expression "sent me ahead" reveals that this was God's "incubating" process. Within the worldly systems of Potiphar’s house and the prison, Joseph learned administration, economics, and leadership. Through these trials, he was disciplined in humility and dependence on God. To raise prepared leaders, God places and trains us in the heart of the world. That time of refinement later becomes a precious asset for serving the Kingdom of God.

​If you are currently facing difficulties, you should meditate on the fact that God is incubating you. Unfair treatment at work, wounds in relationships, or economic hardships can all be part of the process of being shaped into a prepared leader. Therefore, instead of complaining, ask, "What is God teaching me?" Respond with faithfulness to small daily responsibilities and build the muscles of faith to trust God even amidst suffering.

​Lord, I believe that my current difficulties are an incubating process preparing me. Help me to be refined as a person of God even within worldly systems, and to become a prepared leader through faithfulness in small things. I trust in God's providence, which turns even evil human intentions into good. Let me become a precious vessel used by God. Amen.
