[잠언 11:13] "신실한 자는"
두루 다니며 한담하는 자는 남의 비밀을 누설하나 마음이 신실한 자는 그런 것을 숨기느니라

잠언은 지혜롭고 신뢰할 수 있는 사람과 그렇지 못한 사람을 소개하며 남의 일을 떠벌리고 비밀을 누설하는 사람을 예로 들고 있습니다.

일상에서도 이런 사람을 피하고 싶지만, 중요한 일을 하는데 이런 사람을 만나면 모임은 깨어지고 기업은 무너지게 될 것입니다.

나는 과연 어떤 사람일까? 사람의 관심을 얻기 위해 남의 비밀을 흘리고, 나의 재미를 위해 다른 사람의 눈물을 흘리게 한 적은 없는지...

아무도 없을 때라도 하나님을 의식하고 말과 행동에 무게와 책임을 다하는 사람은, 하나님에게도 부름을 받고 사람에게도 부름을 받고 쓰임을 받게됩니다. 그리고 쌓아올린 그의 인품과 성숙함에 박수와 축복을 받게 됩니다. 아멘

"A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret."

Proverbs introduces us to both wise and unreliable people, using the example of those who blab about others' affairs and reveal secrets.

In daily life, we want to avoid such people, but encountering them in important matters can lead to fractured gatherings and ruined businesses.

What kind of person am I, really? Have I ever spilled someone else's secrets to gain attention, or caused others to shed tears for my own amusement?

A person who, even when alone, is mindful of God and takes responsibility for their words and actions will be called and used by both God and people. And they will receive applause and blessings for the character and maturity they have built. Amen.
